I have a Pygmy Date Palm in a container on my pool deck in Northeast Florida. It appears to me that I have a scale problem but not sure what the best treatment for this is. I read that spraying repeatedly with a mixture of equal parts water and rubbing alcohol mixed with dish soap is one suggested remedy but not sure how often that should be done or if there are better treatment options. As you can see in the pictures it is affecting the new growth as well as the upper existing frawns. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
