Black spots on Date Palm

Just bought 2 True Date Palms however when i came home and was finished potting them up i noticed some black dots on the fronds. mainly the older ones. here is pics.

Looks like a leaf spot - perhaps graphiola leaf spot like they get here.  Usually it's just a cosmetic problem unless it gets out of control.

ok great to hear, lets hope it is nothing bad. so you just recommend leaving it alone and waiting to see what happens with time?

You can try treating it with an anti-fungal, but I've not had much luck with treatment.  The first treatment I tried was a spray.  Next day I came out and the frond I sprayed was already wilting and browning.  I decided that rather than try for perfection I'd just deal with the spotting unless it became a serious health issue.  That said there are other options available that other posters have used successfully on their date palms (see link below).

There is a leaf spot that affects Phoenix theophrasti that is more aggressive and can result in a kill.  If you're going to try a treatment and can get Banrot, I would recommend trying @Merlyn2220's method on this thread for your date palms: https://www.palmtalk.org/forum/index.php?/topic/60388-phoenix-theophrasti-leaf-spot-disease/
