I'm new here. I bought this house a few months ago with a goal to canopy a mostly barren backyard. It had two Sabal palms. Here is my progress so far. I've relocated some stable Sabals from other areas of the property. Added 3 coconut palms, 2 baby Royal Palms, 4 tripled Pygmy Date Palms, 3 Foxtails.

I've added some ginger plants and about to plant some unique alocasia around the shady areas of the palms. I'm going to be adding every form of ginger as a long-term hobby.

I'm about to order the following: 1) Dypsis lanceolata, 2) Kentiopsis Oliviformis, 3) Chambeyronia macrocarpa.

This needs to stop or I'm going to need therapy.

Don't worry about therapy.  You'll see me and @Merlyn2220 at your intervention.  Just a word of advice: When they get the white jacket with the straps out, just go with it ;)

Looks like you're off to a good start!

Interventions?  We don't need no steenkin' interventions!  :D

My wife saw a vacant lot nearby and said, "Hey, you could buy that and grow palms there!"  I think she's my secret enabler.  Welcome to PalmTalk from your friendly neighborhood enablers!

I like your wife. We bought the 3-lot site next door in 2011 to plant palms and tropical trees.
