My little Palm looks like he go the hell kicked out of him. hole in the frond , yellow and brown spots on new frond, brown ends that are shrivelled. Is this a sign of disease especially on the new frond in photo IMG_2344? or fertilizer or water issue? Or is it just normal Palm were and tear?

Thanks :)

How about a photo of the whole palm? From the little bits I've seen it looks good, a nice dark green aside from a few dry tips from indoor air and a couple blemishes. Do you plan to let it go outside during summer? You can't expect utter perfection when growing palms or you will stress yourself out from worry.

Thanks for the Reply :) here are photos of the whole plant. It was in a three gallon planter and now it is in a 5 gallon.  The guy i bought it from said it needed transplanting. I hope it's healthy :)

I tend to put all my palms in relatively narrow but deep containers.  I don't think your palm needed to be repotted. Additionally, your mix looks very peaty. Peat can really hold moisture and is not appreciated by palms..., especially in a cooler climate. If you do leave it in its current container, watch your watering. Only a relatively few species of palms require constant moisture (most want to somewhat dry between waterings).  I  would not worry about minor leaf discolorations.  Keep it outside in partial sun. (Trachycarpus palms actually SLOW DOWN in high heat (over 90F).)
