My local HD only has Pygmy dates, sagos, majesties (even Walmart has these), and a wide variety of flowers.

Right on! I saw a Pygmy date palm, a whole shipment of somewhat mature Monstera deliciosa, and majesty palms at my Lowes recently. Looks like the big box stores are getting into the tropical plant market.

The HD in Johnson creek (82nd and 205) has Bottle palms, trachys and Chamaerops outside on top of the Washies and bIrd of paradises.  They also have mini bananas and Red Abysinnian ones as well.

I keep hoping Lowes is going to bring in some mule palms here like they do in California, but no luck so far.

I usually pick up the leftovers at the end of season 50% off.

I was pretty surprised to see those bottle palms, they never had them before.  It's also worth having a look at the one further down in Oregon city.  The two stores don't carry the same stock of plants.

Oregon city had the same selection as Johnson creek. I was there today.

Costco is selling trachycarpus now too!  My wife saw them said they were pretty big and only $15.  If I didn’t have 300 of them I would be tempted
