Is Pink China Colocasia Invasive?

Being in zone 7a, I was happy to find a colocasia that was hardy in zone 6 so a bought a couple of Pink China and planted them last summer and left them in the ground over winter.  It's June and these things have spread about 2 feet in each direction.,  It's nice that I won't have to buy more...but do these things continue to spread like this and are they harmful to other plants (like palm tree roots)?  Has anyone had this experience and is there a way to control where they go?
