I planted two palms (4" pot) I got from Floribunda several years ago (6-7).  At the time,  I thought I was planting two B. dumasii.  One was always faster than the other and looks like a B dumasii.  The other has me stumped.  Here are the pics:

As you can see, it is heavy with black ramenta, and has a lot of tomentum under leaflets.  Any guess would sure be helpful.  Extremely slow palm whatever it is.

Are those stripes on the leaf base under the oldest one? Vieillardii?

Hey Matt - I have a trunking B veillardii.  It doesn't have ramenta or tomentum.  It could be anything.  Doesn't look like a Dypsis though.

Possibly a young B grandiflora I think these have that black fuzz when they're young I can't remember mine died
