Gotta love this Sabal minor dwarf palmetto or swamp palmetto is so happy next to one of my cactus living on about 20" of rainfall a year.

Never thought I'd see a Hawaiian post a whole new thread starting with a photo of Sabal minor, but I love it!

Ya know I watered it for a few years but not for the past 15 for sure.  Our humidity makes us so m uch different from other deserts.  Avg is about 66%

Interesting to see a water loving palm in an area with fairly low rainfall, and by a cactus! I bet you can grow all kinds of cool stuff there!

I think I can grow anything here.  Well I can grow anything but some things need cold to set fruit.  That I can't do in the ground.  LOL  All I have to do is add the right amount of water.  OR for the right plant NO water just a little rain.
