So, I woke up to this this morning. Wish the seeds were viable.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool.

I saw this palm on marketplace about 2 years ago. A guy on the southside of Jacksonville had a landscaper just rip it up out of their yard. The guy had it sitting on concrete, roots exposed, for 3 days.

He was about to throw it away before I asked him what he wanted for it. I told him $150 just to see what he'd say. Surprisingly he said yeah.

I really didn't realize how big it was until I got down their and loaded it up on my small 8' trailer.

I'm all about pushing your zone if you can.

Mule is probably my favorite palm.

My mule's death is a certainty at some point.  It's a fabulous palm though.

There's a forum member zone pushing a queen in Virginia, I believe his username is SEVA. If you don't mind putting in the time to protect you should be able to see that thing get big where it's at :D

I've got a basic plan for it.  We'll see.  Last year only clocked 2 weeks with temps below 20 F for me but the year before had 6 weeks where temps were below 20F.  Looks like around 5 or 6 weeks on average hit below 20F on my spreadsheet covering last 20 years.
