Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this palm? There’s two others in same area it’s planted that don’t look this bad. It gets regular soakings and palm tree fertilizer every 2 months.

How long has it been in the ground?  Transplant shock maybe.

or

the old petioles look a little elongated it may be getting used to the sun.

Either way the new fronds all look good so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Is that a Mediterranean or a windmill? The trunk looks like a windmill.

If so, could be too much scorching sunlight. I attempted growing a few windmills here in SE Georgia. The one I planted in the shade looks excellent. The two I planted in full sun have very small fans and look something like yours.

I agree with @Jcalvin I do not believe that to be a chamaerops humilis. No armament on the petiole that i can see. Even baby cham's have spines. No split at the leaf tip. Trunk looks windmill to me as well.

Sunburn on newly planted trachy . It will grow out. Bet those two worst leaves face s/sw. My hunch.  My older leaves get that way on mine here in sunny NM.

Ya it’s been in ground for about 3 months and yes the really brown fronds face south. I just want to make sure it isn’t some sort of disease of nutrient deficiency.

Water it and allow the roots to settle, it will outgrow it. Don't water or fertilize in winter.  Should be bulletproof in your area once established.
