How much sunlight can a Bamboo palm take without looking bad? (Chamaedorea seifrizii)

got a Chamaedorea seifrizii it has been nothing but problems lately with mealy bugs scale and all kinds of diseases. I would like to plant it outside. Best in terms of suncoverage i have is just some palms that block south in a northfacing edge of my house. is this suffiecent once it gets established?

I think it will be suffiecent once it gets established. Mine is under a dossel, but it gets morning sun (South) until 9:00 AM and afternoon sun after 15:00 PM (W till NW), so it is protected from hot midday sun. Never had sun issues. This half sun/shaded spot is just ideial for it and other Chamaedoreas around it. From mid October until late April I usually take out the white dossel(photo) out, and it then gets much more sun, it gets sun from 13:00 PM on. It also goes really well under this conditions. Shows a very good growth rate.

Got another one on a almost full shade spot (only gets late afternoon sun) and it looks thinner and not so robust but it's doing fine also. Its growth rate is also slower:421449304_IMG_20200912_1904211.thumb.jpg.707c1a02e5994df59bced21bdcaf4694.jpg

I’ve got two large clumps. The one in morning sun only lives it’s place in the garden against an east facing wall and some overhead coverage from big old king palms. The other gets consisable late afternoon sun and isn’t as happy. It grows but its leaves are faded and smaller that the more shaded clump.

finally out of the house. :) wonder how hardy this will be the first year, i read it can go down to 20 farenheit. I had my Elegans out in a pot under canopy in my Patio last winter and it suffered no damage. Anyone know what Eleganse and this palm can take in terms of cold?

Got some. Two are just behind the seifrizii and they do just fine during winter. Always growing.

About 3 feet per year and it's now clustering heavily.
