Ravenea julietiae planting advice, please

I am thinking of planting my 5g Ravenea julietiae in place of a late Cyphophoenix elegans in my back yard jungle. But I want assurance that my plan is a good idea as this is my only example of this rare and slow growing species. The spot faces south and overlooks our canal. The palm will receive more sun in winter than in summer but will be in partial shade all year. The jungle has been heavily mulched through the years and is much improved over the alkaline dreck that normally passes for soil in Cape Coral. I took the following photos of palm and its planting site. Can anyone give me advice?

Photos of palm and planting hole. We can't dig any deeper because of abundant roots.

I have found this to be a pretty worry-free grower in part sun/mostly shade.

Just now, Ben in Norcal said:

I agree with Ben.  The one pictured got a fair amount of shade from the south facing wall when it was small, but the top of it is full sun until mid-afternoon when it is filtered due to palms to the west.  I have a second I planted on the other side of my driveway, so no afternoon shade at all.  While its been slower than the first, it still looks nice.  They appreciate water and both of mine grow during winter here.

Meg, these have been pretty dependable and easy grows around here in both filtered light and full sun. Whether or not they can take full on Florida sun may be another matter. They are such a great palm. Weird, there were tons of them around a few years back and there tough to find..
