Hardy King palm - Does well in Northern California!

I got this King as a 1 gal plant from Glenn Harris. 

It has shown to be quite hardy here dealing with temps ranging from 25f -112f!

Mine haven’t seen 25 degree but all of my species (Alexandrae, Beatriceae, Cunninghamiana, Maxima)have seen 113 and 29-30 except Tuckeri which I planted after the winter of 2018-2019. 

No doubt though for tropical palms it’s hard to find a tougher and faster growing palm. They handle pretty much any climate California throws at them. Maybe Palm Springs might be one of the few areas where it’s too hot and dry for too long down this way.
