From the second two photos, it looks like you have the leaf opening and two spears pushing, unless it is just the perspective that is throwing me.  If that is accurate, it might be that your Dypsis decipiens is getting ready to split into two growth points.   The new leaf has a nice bluish tint to go with the red which is attractive.

I have one like this. The colour has become a more intense mauve with age. It now has four growth points!

The bummer when they get so many growth points is that it seems to slow things down when they compete for nutrients.  I also have one with 4 growth points and my younger plant with only two is now double the size of the older which split into 4.   My double is currently opening new leaves from each growth point too.

You're right except this is now splitting into 3 which I'm OK with. If one point gets a fungal rot (as these things tend to get for no apparent reason) then I have another 2. A week ago it was a 3 spear thing. The other two won't be far behind. It would be interesting to see if they are as colourful as this one.
