In my quest to protect her from the cold weather this week, I got a closer look than usual at my Malayan dwarf cocos.

The oldest frond (took a beating on its way home almost a year ago) has a few things going on it seems. What is all of this? I’m sure it’s a few things I’m observing.

The new growth (4-5 fronds since I planted it) is not impacted.

I use Garden Safe Insecticidal Soap for Organic Gardening.  It seems to work for any pest problems I have, and since I went ALL ORGANIC, I fortunately don't have many pest problems to begin with.
