I have had good luck with germination of washingtonia robusta.  I did the community tray with heat mats and have about 450-500 seedlings.

Wow!! That is one productive palm! It's rare to see washingtonia fruiting like that here, drooping so low. Possibly due to our wind... Although that looks like a filifera is it? They possibly fruit a little differently to the more commonly grown robusta.

And a beautiful backdrop as well.

Wish I could import some seed.
