Additional plants in the same pot as palm trees?

Hello all. First time posting in this pots thread. I keep my outdoor palms in pots, and like adding additional plants to fill out the pot. Is this a good practice, or not due to competing of nutrients in the pot?

I have 2 be majesty’s that I put in pots outside and don’t want to strain them.

Below is a pic of my triangle with additional plants in the same pot. Doesn’t seem to complain...

As you say Ras, it does not seem to complain. And it also looks good, as long as you kept up the appropriate amount of water and fert for them all.

The only problem that I can see with that is if a palm sensitive to collar rot or has a damaged trunk may find it too moist around the bottom there.

I would try to tease the plants away just a little from the truck if possible, just to be sure.

I see that the pot you are using is smaller at the top, it’s going to be difficult to take the palm out.

Flowering plants are great with potted palms, but be careful with fertilizers. From what I understand, palms don’t care for general fertilizers like flowering plants do, and it’s possible to harm your palms if you use too much.
