Hey everyone!! I was wondering how big queen palms fit into small pots in big box stores?? :)

Probably pot bound. They dont change the pots once they hit the stores.
How they do it: Let the palm grow in the same pot for an extended period of time THEN send it out to be sold in stores.

Field grown, dug up with small rootballs, and plopped into the pots.

Queen palms and many other palm species will grow thick and lush in seemingly too small pots if they are watered daily and fertilized often. I know a couple of growers and most of their palms are in cramped small pots but the palms are green and healthy.

When I got my queen palm, there was still some soil left on the bottom.
