Butia eriospatha leaflets

Hi all. I noticed that the last leaflets on my Butia eriospatha are incredibly long and lax. I've tried to capture them in this video but it might be hard to get perspective. They're at least 1.5 metres long (about 5 feet). Is this normal behaviour or a common variant? Thanks

I have one but it’s not nearly as large as yours. It does not exhibit the traits yours does at this point in time. Pretty even looking fronds top to bottom.

This looks like our Butia Eriospatha that just barely survived nearly -17C.

notice the quite hairy trunk.
