Bought myself a Christmas present back in Dec.  Butia eriospatha in I guess a 7 gallon pot.  It's been sitting in the full sun in my driveway for the past 4+ months.  Finally got around to digging a whole and planting it.  It's in part shade now, but in time I'll be cutting back the weed trees.

This was December 2nd 2020

And today finally in the ground.  Got my measuring stick there to keep track of growth now that it is in the ground.

Where can one find plants or seeds in or to the USA? My brother has one I planted that survived the Feb Texas Freeze. But now I’d like to find and grow more.

No idea.  But I'm out here in the middle of the Pacific.  Good luck.

If you're willing to drive to Salem, Oregon you can get all you want.  This nursery does not do shipping.

An update on the eriospatha Steve? I'd love to see how they grow in your climate.

Axel

It was dong great for 4 months and then all of a sudden it seems to be drying up.  Added a second irrigation line so it's getting water 4 times a week.  I hope I save it.  I'll get a picture in a day or two.
