Dear palm enthusiasts

I planted 4 Areca palms in my elevated planter. Some were already a bit tired and thirsty but I’m wondering if they didn’t carry any disease. After planting I fed with Miracle grow and sprayed with copper fungicide (premixed). Then later in about a week I discovered that my drip line was clogged and palms were too far out on the line to be fed enough water. So my question is, looking at the pictures are these symptoms on the foliage strictly due to palms getting insufficient water or does it look like it might also have a disease? See the trunk too. I numbered the pictures. Thanks for your comments

How much sun do these get everyday? Not sure what the dark spotting is, but some of the other damage looks like sunburn.

Arecas are pretty resistant- I think with time, patience, watering and fertilizer they will recover. I would thin them out a bit as the thick overgrowth can be a breeding ground for undesireable pests...but whatever it is, it will probably overcome it with consistant and diligent care.

About 9am to 1-2pm of SE Texas sun. Afternoons are shaded. They are on the East side.
