Med fan palms are usually a dioecious species This one had always been male for several years,and I have used it's pollen to create new seeds. Last year, for the first time,it put out all female flowers.This year,it became self fertile. Crazy! :blink:

Same thing happened to mine this year as well :blink2:..  I've has it about 10 years & always thought it to be a male. Coincidence?

Lowest temp. I can expect each year 19/20*f lowest since I've been growing palms *13(2007) Hottest temp. Each year *106

My neighbor has a Trachy that switches around each year between male, female or both.  This year its all girl.
