Hello guys;  last spring and this year, one of the youngest leaves of my Livi chinensis seems to scorch! Just one and not the newest. It happened again just the other day and it is outside for about a month now. Any ideas?

Just out of curiosity, do you happen to have any dual pane windows that could be concentrating and reflecting the sunlight onto the tree?

I have a neighbor across the street from me with a lot of windows facing west. During certain times of the year, you can literally feel hot spots in my yard from the reflection off his windows. When I used to have grass in the front, I would have patches that always looked dry and scorched that were a result of it. Some people have even had their vinyl siding melted from neighbors dual pane window reflections.

It's odd that happened to a "middle" frond.  I've seen it on the oldest fronds when the palm goes into full sun really fast.  But that one looks like it is not the youngest or the oldest.  I'm not sure what to guess on this one.

might just be that the sunlight hits the middle frond better?

The scorched leave gets for sure the most direct sunlight from the south!

then the mystery is solved, no need to worry
