Bought this one as a 15 gallon over a dozen years ago from Florida. Slow but steady... Over 12 ft tall overall now. I think it's established!:lol2:

Anybody else growing this species on the left coast? I know Mattyb has one...

Thank You for giving us a peek into each species you've grown from seed then planted or sold, purchased and planted, your trips to these habitats....BECAUSE YOUR CLIMATE MATCHES MINE (except for those dust storms) giving me hope.

Conditions here much different.  Mine has been in the ground for about 20 years.  There is a lily pond to the right of this and the liner I believe has some dog nail holes in it from my part pit bull that liked to go in to cool off.  So I believe the palm gets more than enough water from the leaks.  I do not water it at all.  This picture is from Oct of last year.  Oh yea, in shoes I'm about 5'11".

I think they are neat palms but I have no luck with them killed more than my fair share
