Hey everyone, looking for advice on my yucca rostrata, the leaves are pulling out of the top and are white not the blue look that the older ones have for color. Is there something I can do to help or is the plant dying?

I’ve never had this happen with any rostratas I have growing but it has happened on a yucca gloriosa. It grew out of it but split into 2 heads. If your rostrata makes it I would guess it’s going to split.

Not sure why the leaves had turned white or pulled out but it appears to have grown out of it, the leaves are growing upwards again and the tree seems to be more established. Maybe it was shock from planting it but adding more watering days I noticed it began to grow again.

Hi,

you're a lucky guy. Had a similar issue on one of my hybrids two years ago. All new leaves became white. After a while the plant recovered. Next spring the same happened so I decided to take it out before it infects my other Yuccas.

I've had something similar on rostrata - the same plant two springs in a row.  The leaves are yellowy white and almost a frizzled appearance.  Each time it was some sort of tiny black insect infestation down deep, not visible unless you really looked.  Insecticidal soap takes care of it right away.
