I have this relatively new ground orchid but it's very different in that it's the closest thing to red. There are many out there in shades of pink, purple, yellows and white. But no red.

Very attractive flowers.  Is it a perennial that dies back for a period after blooming or does it carry some leaves/pseudobulbs year round?  I'm always interested in the terrestrial orchids as accessory plantings, but probably can't grow all the varieties that you can in Florida.

Ground orchids grow all year here and bloom quite a bit if their happy. They prefer to be kept on the dry side and partial shade.
