This species,although a slow grower,has done wonderfully for me in the Arizona desert. Would love to see others successes in various climates.

I am guessing you grew the one in your photo from seed and curious how long to get to that size?  Wish I had more room to try more Copernicia species, but I'm out of real estate for most of the larger growing palms unless something dies.

Yes. I grew these from seed I collected on a trip to Cuba in 2014. Not a fast grower,so you don't have to worry about them ever getting too big. I have several individuals planted around the yard in various sun/shade conditions to observe what makes these guys happy. They seem to equally tolerate everything from full all day desert sun, to almost all day shade. Slower growth in the shade as expected,but much greener...
