Hello 

Hopefully I'm posting in the right forum section! 

I'm looking for Experienced People/Person who has dug up Sabal Palms with a shovel, Not machinery. I've been offered by a friend of mine who owns a few acres of land. ( Central Florida West Coast ) The property is loaded wit h Sabal Palms all sizes. I've found a few that I want to remove and transplant on my property. I'm seriously unsure how to ask for help.

** Reason why this is absolutely serious because I have located a TRUE REAL DEAL  Variegated Sabal Palm AKA Cabbage Palm. ***

I'm using a shovel and man power. I need advice/tips for digging up the Sabal Palms with good successful transplant rate, meaning no deaths. 

What are some techniques, you ( The experienced person who has this down pat, with Transplanting survival rate 9/10 ) ways of  digging out Cabbage Palms with a shovel. 

Please  Comment advice, tips, if you root prune, when you Transplanted water cycle, any additives you added to water for root growth, transplant shock additive, what have you? Please help
