Well my first year with a loquat and it was a beauty when it was planted last December. Did fine all winter and had a fair amount of fruit this spring and then new growth. Now however in the last week or so a lot of the leaves are turning yellow then brown and falling off. Possibly too much water? Have not been watering much because of all the rain we have had but did water it late last week.

Any help or suggestions, greatly appreciated.

I killed a loquat overwatering, and it looked just like yours. I feel like they’re somewhat like a podocarous: they can take as much rain as nature gives, but they don’t like to be in soil that is constantly drenched or not well drained.
