Start with a nice palm that you like that is a variety clumped into the "litter catching" varieties.  Here I started with a Burretiokentia koghiensis.

Add in a palm overhead that is shedding seeds and let the litter catching palm do the work!  In this case I extracted the seedling prematurely as this was strictly a demonstration project.  Seedling on my sandal with root.  Unlike some experiments, you can try this at home.
