Yes, Top portion ( newer growth / flower stalks ) just has more color (  red/ purple pigment ) than the leaves, basal parts of the plant.

Dug up, cut up, and potted up tons of this stuff when i lived in FL.. even in my sleep,  lol..   Would get similar questions from customers when they'd purchase plants, thinking the greener ones were something different.. esp. plants that were growing in more shade.   Sun brings out the purple a lot more, even on smaller plants.

Lol, I hear ya; I never rest when I close my eyes. I got the greener one in Pittsburgh when I was visiting family and got the purple clippings locally. Thanks for the ID confirmation :shaka-2:
