For sale is the current crop of seeds from my largest Chambeyronia macrocarpa "watermelon trunk", which has fantastic yellow markings on its dark green trunk. This fantastic palm is known by the moniker "Flamethrower Palm" because of its vibrant red new leaves. It is surprisingly cold hardy for a tropical palm, taking down to 25F, which makes it a z9b palm. Every crop of seeds takes up to 2 years to ripen. In 2019 & 2020 the mother lost its crops. She last produced ripe seeds in 2018. Seeds are large - 1" long by 3/4" wide - germinate well into robust seedlings. Growth speed is slow to moderate. This is a great palm that should be grown more often - a must-have. See link below:

Very beautiful tree. If I understand the genetics on this, some will grow watermelon and some come out the regular green. It's what happened to my batch from Bill Austin. I think this comes from crossing hookeri var. and regular macrocarpa.

Please correct me if any of this is wrong.

I doubt this
