Hello Palmtalk team,

Can y’all please take a look at the photos below of our beloved Blue Glow.  It’s potted outside our home that’s been receiving this summer’s full sun and heat.  Does this look like sun or heat burn?  Also, I may have gone a bit too long between watering.

Thank you,

Nick

Yep, some good sun " tanning " there ( not quite burnt yet, but close )  Put it in a little more afternoon shade if possible.  Had one ( and a couple other Agave ) that would do the same exact thing in full sun here.  All of mine , even the more sun tolerant sit where they get filtered  ..or very little sun past noon.  There's a bunch of these that were planted in front of a newer hotel by the mall here in Chandler, in almost all day sun ..All scald / burn during the summer, w/ a few disappearing from the planting bed by the end of the year since being installed.

It does look like sunburn to me, and possibly dehydration with the wrinkles showing up in the leaves.  I'd think some PM shade is a good idea too.  Maybe you had it in a spot that was partly shady in the winter and gets more direct sun in the middle of summer?
