Lots of big trees around the Island if you don’t mind sleuthing. There’s a few roadside ones in Nanoose you could grab off of, or I could for you you. I think they are snow gums.

There’s also a a few big E. dalrympleana trees on the Crown Isle golf course ive taken seed from before.

Zone 8b, Csb (Warm-summer Mediterranean climate). 1,940 annual sunshine hours
Annual lows-> 19/20: -5.0C, 20/21: -5.5C, 21/22: -8.3C, 22/23: -9.4C, 23/24: 1.1C (so far!)

That thought has crossed my mind.  I have spotted very few Eucs in the Comox Valley.  There's a beautiful tree at the Comox Marina, likely a pauciflora species, but I've had no success with germination on that one. I had lots at my last place in Lantzville.  There's much more in the Nanaimo area. Next time I'm in the area I'll make time to stop by those trees I know.

Cheers, Barrie
