Sometimes I need to visit staff and projects in the bush or take clients, I always try to visit palms when I’m there. I’ll publish once in a while some photos from a visit around the area where I live. This is a visit to Beccariophoenix in Sainte Luce.

This is a brief stop at Ravenea musicalis on the way to work. Very poor quality photos. When I first arrived here 25 years ago, the river around the bridge where these photos were taken was lined with mature trees. Sadly, they have all been cut down. Fortunately upriver there are still a lot of mature trees and there are certainly many juveniles in the river…

And a bit further up the road I stopped and pointed my phone out of the car door to snap a couple of photos of Dypsis aquatilis…

On another day, I was working with a tourism consultant planning a new flora tour for my company. In one spot we visited Dypsis saintelucei (juveniles), Dypsis sp. (I think psammophila), Dypsis brevicaulis, and Dypsis sp. (probably scottiana).
