April 17, 2021, I obtained with permission the first batch of ripe R. Baueri seeds.  I try to search all techniques posted by Palm Talkers to help my efforts lean towards success.  I kind of already wrote these off as I've never had success after 4 months.  Yesterday, I still went through the process of observing and 3 popped up.  The photo only shows 2 as focus failed trying to capture the 3rd.  The first photo shows the initial cleaned seeds.  I will now be looking more often this week.  The second batch of ripe seeds was started May 6, 2021, so I'm still a ways off.

I'll write about a few items.  Hired in Aug. 15, 1979.  I had skill sets in "fuel", "Hydraulics" & "power plant".  None of us knew why the influx of hiring, but after a year of a background investigations, I was assigned to a "functional test" facility where each component was tested prior to putting it into the sky.  I worked on the fuel mock-up, weapons bay, engine test cell.  I was selected to take existing flight hardware (integrated servo actuators - fly by wire flight actuators) from an existing known program and modify each unit for use on the F-117 Stealth Fighter.  This program was under a critical schedule for first flight, so we could not go through testing each system.  None of us ever needed a motivational speech to show up for work.  I had 100% zero defects award issued by Quality Assurance.  The first 59 pilots trained on this program were brought through my Hydraulic Lab where I shook each pilots hand to put a face with their safety.  We always worked on the need to know basis, so we had no idea when "Desert Storm" would commence.  But "Dark of the Moon" was critical to testing, on January 16, 1991, my plane was first into downtown Baghdad.  The lead pilot had 200 USA Flags and certificates of Authenticity of this mission, I received 1 set that is PRICELESS.

That’s awesome @TheMadScientist! Love the F-117.  I got my A&P at age 19 and it’s the best thing to ever happen to me. 42yrs young and still love aviation. Gulfstream’s is where my career path has taken me and feel blessed daily. Congrats on your historical accomplishments. :greenthumb:

This last Tuesday 8-9-2022, I made a 1+ hour trip each way to check on 4 locations that I have permission to harvest ripe seeds and document when these flower to when they should become ripe.  Sometime during July, some "tree trimmers HACKED" all palms at 1 location of all seeds and green fronds leaving perhaps 5 pointing up.  I don't expect any seeds in 2023 because of just how butchered these are....sorry for all of our BAD NEWS.
