Hi there,

I thought i would post an update of my Dypsis decipiens nearly 10-years after planting it out in possibly the coldest climate i have seen this Palm growing in.

Shes a slow grower but it is now getting faster the bigger it gets. Here is the pic when planted out and how it is now.

Great job, it is looking beautiful!   It appears she/he has put out a second trunk in your update photo so you now have a double.   You were fortunate too in that you started with a nice size specimen.  One doesn't often see potted ones available here the size of your first photo when you planted it.

Thanks Tracy - Yes its a double. I was initially thinking of cutting the second one off, but then decided against it.
