Are you able to view the whales from shore? I feel a whale-watching trip coming on for this winter. :) They are such awesome creatures to see up close from a boat.

Sebastian Inlet, Florida is looking like 67, Nov. 29 (Florida Institute of Technology data). It's the season when the warmest water in Florida is from about Palm Beach County southward along the Atlantic. Right whales won't show up for a while, but manatees have been seen swimming along the beaches in the past few days.

Fla. climate center: 100-119 days>85 F
USDA 1990 hardiness zone 9B
Current USDA hardiness zone 10a

Central Orlando's urban heat island may be warmer than us

A dead right whale showed up north of us, regrettably. Weak, sick razorbill birds are showing up at the beaches. They belong in really cold water far to the north.

Cocoa Beach 62 F, Fort Pierce 67. Nice and warm in Palm Beach County.

Surf temp ( in the local paper ) , has been 80 +/- 1 degree for about a week.

A good bit of fluctuation this year , as it was 70 or just under, about 2 weeks ago after having

been mid 70's for a while. Upwelling .

We usually have a few weeks in August at 83-86 . I have seen it at 88 in some years .

Can't vouch for the reliability of these numbers though .

Don't know the exact temperature but probably around 20 degrees C. Too cold for this black duck to swim in here at the moment..........but that isn't stopping the southerners from Sydney and Melbourne, they keep telling me that it is nice and warm !!

Local News station was reporting 56F off Clearwater last night. Crazy to think we're currently seeing  water temps that are considered normal off Santa Cruz/ Half Moon Bay back in CA.

Jealous :-( It's still way too cold up here. 150 miles is so close and still so far away, eh? :-)

The Gulf water temp over here at the Port Aransas jetties the other day was 68F, which is WAY ABOVE NORMAL for this time of year, but just the week before was 58F.  Normally, it should be about 60F or 61F this time of year.
