For those of you that frequent Facebook, I’ve set up a group called “Pommy palms”, where many of the palms I’ve seen since emigrating to Australia have been documented. If you wish to be a member, copy and paste “Pommy palms” into Facebook to view the page and click “Join group”.

Nice! Looks more like a coconut than Alfredii in my opinion.

That looks so great!   Amazing looking.   I know people love Coconuts, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all want what we can’t have, but coconuts look downright anemic compared to any in the Beccariophoenix genus.   BAs, BMs, & BFs look so great, especially in middle age.

Most houses around here have 1-3 coconuts.  A few look great, many look scraggly by their very nature, depending on the type.  They are fast, easy growers here, but I guess I like the fat, bushy Beccariophoenix look much better.
