This looks like a Canary Island Date Palm, Disease prone. I think that that's either fungus or trunk rot.

Hi, I have the same with my palms in Spain. In my case it’s caused by the red palm weevil at some point in the palm’s growth. Look for cocoons around the palm to confirm.5F7AC79B-6D30-4EA7-9C9C-615081910D6E.thumb.jpeg.18dd9781f10676ccd635a53ea36f7dc1.jpeg

I have the palms sprayed and use a picusan pheromone trap. the later being very effective. Cutting your palms in the pineapple way is what attracts them in the first place. A memo was issued a while ago by the Valencian community to not cut the leaves of your palms, as this attracts the red palm weevil.
