Sabal miamiensis seeds

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a bumper crop of seeds from my large Sabal miamiensis from this past year.  It’s the sister palm to @PalmatierMeg’s, originally from seed obtained by Christian Faulkner sometime around 2006-2007.  It was planted around 2008-2009 in Gainesville, Florida right next to a Sabal palmetto of almost exactly the same age.

Seeds are $16/50, $25/100, add $3 for shipping (slightly more if you want larger quantities).

No international orders, since I’m not really up to date on requirements for other countries.  If you know your requirements and want to try anyway, I might be persuaded.

PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo are acceptable forms of payment.  DM to order.

Meg, it does really well in this spot.  Lots of afternoon sun, irrigated regularly, and rarely (if ever) fertilized.

I'm glad you mentioned that, because I forgot to mention that I cut all the inflorescences off of the palmetto before they have a chance to bloom, and it's the only palmetto in my yard.
