I'm noticing 3 kinds of spots on my royal palm I recently received and would like to know causes and if it is a danger to the palm and how it will affect the tree. Big yellow spots, tiny yellow spots and ok the underside it has a tattered appearance.

I am in no way an expert but it looks like just a leaf spot disease/fungus.  I'd recommend getting a systemic liquid fungicide and treating the soil around it and the foilage right away. I'd also recommend giving it a round of fertilizer to improve its health.

To me, it looks like some minor cold spotting.  It can't hurt to give it a good treatment with fungicide and fertilizer now that it has warmed up.
