Sorry for repeating but should I fertilize? Should I hold up on repotting as he's already stressed? I know he's rootbound.

I'm in Phoenix, arguably the washy capitol of the earth, it is my opinion that you'd have to try hard to kill one. If you spit on the ground 12 seeds will germinate and grow. They will grow to 5 or 6' tall from a crack in the sidewalk. I cannot tell the difference between any of them, we have both robusta and filifera here with everything in between. I'd water that guy daily and give it some sunshine and it will be fine.  I wouldn't repot it just yet, it can live underpotted for a long time. But again my opinion.

Just figured I'd bump this.

Ol' Dirty Sanchez is throwing new dark green fronds that are about the same size as when I first bought him. Which is a huge improvement from a few months ago. Still dunno if it's cold damage or underwatering but he lives to stab me another day.

So, what I've learned.

Ok, maybe wanting to get a pic of a palm with snow on it maybe isn't that cool.

I've got a dolly under his heavy ass so I have no excuse to not bring it inside in teen temps when I bring everything else inside.

Just because they're drought tolerant doesn't mean they're gonna be drought happy. They enjoy water (and Stink Water©) just as much as everyone else.

Ol' Dirty Sanchez is looking pretty good again. I'm still not 100% on what went wrong but likely a mix of cold damage and underwatering. Because I'm a good neighbor, I'm going to ask how much of the landing at the top of the stairs I can take up, and water and fertilize the bejeezus out of him. Def gonna hate myself when winter comes. Fortunately there should only be a week or 2 he'd need to come inside.

Thanks to all of you for your guidance and help. Any palm with a name this funny needs to keep living.
