I have a 8 foot tall windmill palm that had one of its spears pull but the other 3 spears are still healthy and not pulling out, should I apply copper fungicide into where the spear pulled?

I think thats a good idea...I don't like using H202 (hydrogen peroxide)  because it does turn back to water.

It would help if you listed what area you are in, what temps the palm was exposed to and a pic but yea the copper fungicide is a great idea.

I am in Seattle zone 8B, lowest temp was 16f night time temps for about two weeks usually they don’t have problems with cold here, I transplanted this palm tree about 5 months ago from a construction yard that was about to be bulldozed, it has quite a bit of physical damage from a tree branch falling on top of it and construction activity around it bending most branches but other than that it seems to be healthy and the other spears will not pull out. I’m hoping It can recover. I pulled the spear a few days ago and took the picture of it just now so it is drier and browner than it was when I pulled it, I just poured copper fungicide into the crown and where it pulled 8C2CEAA3-9B3C-430F-827A-8F583450B000.thumb.jpeg.f33ad73771a931fd94fb87f939c09343.jpeg

The transplant shock made it weak for sure.  Normally one that size would have no trouble with 16F.  Spray the copper in there one time and it has a fair chance if it was moved with a good rootball.
