Hello everyone, I recently purchased this potted Sabal minor. Just wanted to here your guy’s opinion on if this thing will flower this year. Is it big enough? Does it being in a pot effect this? If it does flower, when should I see the stalk coming up?

Thanks! If it doesn’t this year hopefully next year when it’s in the ground for the entirety of spring. Fingers crossed.

I purchased a really nice 7G Sabal Minor (Dwarf variety) that in the pot had flowered at least once before, likely more.  It's in the ground now since February and the flowering stalks are huge (two of them).   Shouldn't be too long now I would think.

Where did you get this Sabal minor from? I bought mine from Northeast Ohio Palms and it looks identical to yours, from the type of pot it’s in to the fertilizer used. I bring that up because I bought mine a few months ago and when I received it there were 2 flower stalks emerged and they have since grown ever so slightly. So, if your experience is similar to mine I would expect the plant to flower within the next year or two.

Lmao I just asked you on your post if you bought from them before I read this. I asked for the exact same reason it looks the same. But yeah that’s exactly right I got it from them. Did you buy the 7 or 3 gallon from them? Thanks for the info.
