So I recently potted up this royal into a 3 gallon I did plant it a little too deep do I just dug a little around the base to keep the base out of the soil that should be alright until I pot it to a 7 later this year. The stem at the base is white colored I did try to peal off a dead frond, did I damage it badly and will it be permanent damage or heal just fine?

Everything looks just fine. Don't touch it. One thing to be aware of though is that you don't want to put that black pot in direct sunlight. It could cook the roots. Surround it with other pots,or just place that pot into a bigger decorative ceramic pot.:greenthumb:

That’s on the actively growing crown/frond. It will not be permanent. Do not peel back unsightly fronds in the future.

It is how'd you know?

I've bought a few palms from them. I got dragged because the spindle palm i bought from them looked so stretched and leggy,  but it's fat and happy now. Plus their customer service is amazing.

This palm is a bit tall for its size, for royals you want thickness over hight so hopefully it will get thick fast before putting on any trunk
