ROBUST robusta growth in Houston!

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

After the 2021 cold spell, I purchased this robusta from Houston Garden Center for $75.00 in April 2021 and planted it in the pool area of the apartment community I manage as an Earth Day gift.  It's amazing what proper feeding, watering, and TLC can do to help a robusta just take off like a rocket ship!  Westchase are of Houston, Z9a

No drip system, just VERY diligent daily waterings.

I Feed it Jobe's Organics palm food in March, June, and September.

Here is Timelapse on a hybrid I grew awhile back in Fort Worth. September ‘18 to June ‘19. It was right underneath the gutter so got tons of water

if you keep watering and fertilizing it, that palm will be 30 feet tall in 10 years
