I have a couple seeds that were hitchhikers from a order I recieved in May some were already slifhtly sprouted already. Does anyone have any idea what they could be from the seeds? Or has anyone else had experience grows from these and what they turned out to be? They sure are growing faster than any of the seeds I've germinated. Maybe it will not even survive long enough for me to tell what it is. Hopefully it survives.

They do look like king seeds, hopefully not. I was hoping for a more uncommon palm:D Thanks Charlene

Maybe some Hydriastele sp? If its Archontophoenix at least it might be purpurea since thats what they are selling. I got a random Dypsis hitchhiker last year still unidentified as of yet.

Cool thanks Dean, don't think I have a chance of hydriastele. Purpreas would be cool. It will be a long while till I find out what it could be I guess.

Not sure Tyrone. I haven't seen neither of those seeds. They are about 1/2".

Two years ago I got a seedling sprout in one order.  I asked Jeff if he had any idea and he said probably Archontophoenix  purpurea.  I'm no good at IDing palms but it's growing nice now and it's about 2' tall under shade cloth in the ground.  This is it last month.

Thanks Steve for the pic! Nice growth for 2 years. It sure does look like a Archontophoenix, hopefully purpurea.
