Well here is the palm that I first posted about that started this whole thread. (Becarriophoenix Madagascariensis) So I figured I would give an update. If you compare it to the very first post you will see that the very highest leaf tip in that first post was about as high as the top of the white wall behind it. These pics are taken approximately just a little over two years later. Not a rocket by any means, but it continues to be a pretty steady grower.

Mine is plugging along, getting bigger but not in a hurry to do so.

Some background pain I've been ignoring for 2 years has exploded into severe pain and I am told I need both knees and one hip replaced (makes you wonder about the other hip eh?) so all of my landscaping came to a crashing halt a few months ago, can't go on palm tours etc.  Currently limping my sore ass back out there and finishing plating stuff I still had in pots but the challenge of planting on solid lava with severe pain ...blah blah blah...I've learned that Big Island residents must travel to O'ahu for hip replacements which makes me grumpy and unwilling thus far so I'm basically grounded these days...

This C. elegans seems to like this small space between our house and walkway. It’s kind of been neglected but our resent rains have given it new life. Today it caught my attention that I should incorporate it into the irrigation system and take better care of it.

This beefy Chrysalidocarpus Leptocheillos caught my eye. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one quite this stocky. Almost like Lastelliana. Size 10 shoe for scale.

The royal palms in Sanford, FL, just off of I4 at the RV store, are looking really nice after a warm winter last year and a very rainy summer (you can't see them all in this pic - there's several - but they all are looking good):

@Brad52 yes quite the curve , almost Dypsis like. I don’t know much about those palms , are they tropical in needs? Harry

Ok , my turn . The C. Macrocarpa I have is growing in full , hot sun so the red isn’t as impressive as shade grown ones I’ve seen. I brought this home from Maui as a small seedling many years ago. When it was young it had shade but now it has to tolerate sun. It was 87f today when I took the picture. The red will only last a couple of days . I get 3-4 fronds a year.  HarryIMG_0432.thumb.jpeg.3db8b6e8836204a9bc3cb72ff8409d51.jpeg
