Her she is cleaned up and repotted. I brought it over to a friend’s house the other night and he should have it planted by now. Will post photos when it’s in the ground.

The main inspiration for my most recent purchase…..a nearby Chrysalidocarpus (?) leptocheilos. An absolute stunner with what I’m guessing is Chrysalidocarpus baronii to the left. Sorry for the bad lighting.

During a walk through of my garden today I noticed several new spears coincidentally all opening at the same time. This warm and humid fall weather has these palms still growing full speed ahead despite the slightly cooler nights and shorter daylight hours. This might be the most spears I’ve seen opening at once since starting my garden about two years ago.

The first Butia in my collection flowering! 😁

This one I planted about 7 years ago from a 3 gallon, don't recall how old or how long it was in that pot though.  This like all my Butia will parent stock for hybridization project with the Syagrus varieties in my collection.

Here's my biggest Alfreidii. Think it'll catch up in a year or 2? 🤣 8" pot for reference and it's heavy so it's pushing roots.

I forget the scientific name, starts with a P. But a Money Tree. I've never seen them sold as solo plants, always multiples braided and I think they look so tacky. This was 5 plants braided and then it went to 3 and then 2 and then 1 as the others all died. Anyway it's pushing a few new leaves in a few spots and that makes me happy. C. Cataractarum and L. Weddellanium photobombing.

I was doing some after Nicole yard clean up yesterday and noticed some striking colors on this H. indica. A little wind whipped but otherwise looking good.

This was a gift from a friend that collected the seed in Madagascar. He said the parent plant was like a solitary Dypsis Lutescens, but very robust. He gave it to me with a tag on it that said “Dypsis sp. Column” as a reference to the size of the trunk. Very colorful palm!
